The location was lovely, the staff were exceptionally friendly, anticipated needs, and even took time to chat even when busy. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection of choices including freshly cooked options. Very child friendly. And on one occasion I noticed children came to breakfast before their parent and they were chatted to and treated equally as well as the adults. On one occasion whilst being shown to our table, I stopped to say ‘hi’ to our son and grandchildren. We were being seated at the other end of the dining room on a particularly busy day but another member of staff had noticed and asked if we would like to be seated nearby as a table had just become free. I felt that this was particularly observant of her but great customer service. Having a husband with Alzheimer’s some places can be challenging but there were disabled facilities next to the pool which meant I was able to be with him to get changed and meant he could access the pool facilities with the rest of the family.

The hotel was lovely, our room was fantastic. We ate in the hotel both evenings but unfortunately they both were completely different experiences. On the Friday, the gentlemen was efficient polite and very attentive. His service made the premium cost worth it and we thoroughly enjoyed a glass of wine overlooking the river. On the Saturday, the different gentlemen was distracted, not attentive and neglected to get things we asked for (sauces etc). The young lady was showing outstanding customer service when she was engaged with us however the pair were very focused on setting up for breakfast rather than looking after their seated guests. The above experience issues aside, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

On arrival the reception area was stylish, modern, functional and cosy. The front desk staff member who checked us in was extremely helpful and friendly. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, polite and helpful. We chose a river view room and the view did not disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if we return to the area again it is the only hotel we will look for accommodation in. The room was spacious with a stunning river view and a very clever/useful mirror/hairdryer setup which my wife loved. We would have no complaints

Lovely hotel, with an amazing view of the Tyne Bridge from Reception and pool! Perfect location if you're going to a gig at the Glasshouse, and only a few minutes walk from Newcastle station . Nice big room: we booked a twin room & had a queen-sized bed each! Good size bathroom ensuite, with a really good power shower. The pool is big enough to actually swim in, which was a bonus! Water temp. was perfect, and the pool & changing rooms were spotlessly clean. Great jacuzzi, too!

Room was excellent, lovely view of the Tyne and Quayside. Had a light late lunch in the bar after checking in to our room which was very nice. We were going to the Sage and had to be there early for a meet and greet so could not have an evening meal.
